Born February 8, 1971 in Concord, MA. My family moved to L.A. where I spent the rest of my childhood and adolescence, graduating from La Canada High School in 1989. From 1989-1993, I studied at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY with a B.A. Political Science, Minor in History. In 1995, I spent 9 months traveling through the South Pacific, Southeast Asia, and Europe. I lived and worked in London for 3 months and took life drawing and photography classes at Central St. Martin's. From 1996 to 1998, I attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA initially majoring in Photography, transferring into Fine Art (painting) for my third and final year. In 2000, I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and began taking woodworking classes at night, working as a photographer's assistant, designer, color designer, and furniture-maker's apprentice among other things. I have worked as a carpenter since 2005. |
