I work in a variety of media including oil, acrylic, water color, pastel, drawing and ceramic sculpture. I have won several awards and have had solo and group exhibitions. I was born in Tokyo and educated in Japan as well as the United States. Upon my graduation from The Art Academy of Cincinnati, Hallmark Cards Company recruited me as a greeting card artist/designer. Around 1972, I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and continued my career as an artist and graphic designer. In 2002, I concentrated on oil painting under the instruction of College of Marin Professors Chester Arnold and Jack Scott, and in oil painting I found my true passion. |
